Ordering
PLACING ORDERS: I am always interested in making something new and will be happy to discus your interests in a custom made piece. Please be advised that the wait time will be up to a year and possibly longer.
Native Appalachian hardwoods such as red & white oak, cherry, maple and walnut are exclusively employed in the creation of my offerings. I work from patterns developed over many years to make my chairs and have made adjustments for personal use. For over a decade I have taken to mixing and matching for contrast and color different combinations of species with some very nice results. Along with my apprentice, I continue to produce my full line of chairs from Red Oak adhering to traditional methods of post and rung construction.
Tables require a four sided discussion to describe:
size/ number of place settings
shape of top
support structure
species
Once those are determined we can proceed.
Spinning wheels can be ordered with some input on the species while certain parts are always made from the best material chosen for function.
Orders are accepted after mutually agreeable terms have been agreed upon in advance with each client. A deposit is required to place an order with the balance due at completion. All orders are accepted and receipted with an estimated completion date.
SHIPPING: Orders are shipped via FedEx through a local provider. All packaging and shipping charges are prepaid and arranged by the customer. All secondary addresses must be confirmed with the shipper with daytime contact by the customer.
PICK-UP: Customers are welcome to schedule a mutually beneficial appointment to pick-up their orders at my studio in Millers Creek, NC.
